1. Public Open Forum:
Mary Seidner, Scott Johnson, and Matt Nunn, representing LYSB at 59 Lyme Street, presented plans for a memorial water garden in memory of Jonathan Glenn, a former LOLHS student. As the project does not include a structure and is not visible from Lyme Street, no CofA is required.

2. 57 Lyme Street - OLCLC Window, Roof & Ramp Replacements: Jill Cartagena
As the samples of window and asphalt shingle replacements are like for like, no CofA is required . Two ramps located in the back of the building will be resurfaced in concrete. The ramps are not visible from Lyme Street and will not require a CofA.

3. 22 Lyme Street Swimming Pool - Public Hearing: Michael Avgerinos
Plans were presented for a swimming pool and spa with a concrete pad for pool equipment. The pool, to be located behind the garage: will not be visible from Lyme Street, will be surrounded by a 4' high black iron fence and screened from Beckwith Lane by shrubs. There were no objections from neighbors.
John Forbis made a motion, seconded by Ned Pfeiffer, to approve the CofA application for one year. All present voted in favor. Motion carried.
Ken Levin will be the HDC liaison.

4. 26 Lyme Street Business Sign - Public Hearing:
The HDC has not received any information regarding this project.

5. Active CofAs:
a) 77 Lyme Street LACFA – Landscape screening: The developer, Harry Resnikof, will install landscaping when the access road is completed. At that time, Mr. Resnikof has agreed to discuss adding more landscaping if the HDC feels it is needed.
b) 30 Lyme Street - Fencing: The project is still in progress.
c) 84 Lyme Street LACFA - Sill House renovations: The State Historic Preservation Office (SHIPO) has agreed to allow a brownstone finish on the front of the main entry stairway that is consistent with the existing foundation.

6. Business News & Secretary’s Report: Martha Hansen
Historic District handbooks with the sculpture policy update have been mailed to HD property owners, tenants and local real estate companies.

7.  Plaque Program Update: Martha Hansen
12 Ferry Road: Research continues (Martha Hansen).
20 Ferry Road: Some progress made. The property seems to have been part of a land grant from the Town of Lyme to the Hill family. (Martha Hansen and Pamela Hamilton).
23 Ferry Road:  Robin Sedgwick will contact us when she is ready to proceed.
173 Mile Creek: Research has been completed.  Notify Vladimir Ashworth and order plaque "Charles P. Swaney ca. 1848" (Martha Hansen).
4 Johnnycake Hill Road: Dyanne Rafal is planning to do the research with help from Martha Hansen.

8. Any Other New or Old Business:
a) Hall’s Road update: The planning committee will be meeting with Sarah McCracken in July.
Keep HDC informed (John Forbis).
b) 75 Lyme Street update: the AC condenser remains to be screened.
c) 20 Lyme Street: the garden gates and posts will be made of cellular PVC. A chip seal finish will be added to the driveway in a few weeks.
d) The future utilization of Center School: the Regional School District 18 Superintendant will attend the HDC’s September meeting to discuss plans.

9. Adjournment:
John Forbis made a motion, seconded by Ken Levin, to adjourn the meeting at 10:23 a.m. All present voted in favor. Motion carried.

After the adjournment, John Schroeder came to talk about the next phase for Sill house: scraping and painting the clapboards and trim. The College is hoping to team with Benjamin Moore and use the company’s new Williamsburg paint line for historic colors. The work is scheduled for September and Mr. Schroeder will keep the HDC apprised of the progress.

Respectfully submitted,

Martha Hansen
